I am back!

I feel bad, I was doing so well with my blog and then fell off. I have been going through a lot mentally and just wanted to hide for awhile. Sometimes it is good to just hide from the world.

I was doing okay with my miscarriage situation until I got my period this month, then it brought back everything of “I should be pregnant why do I have my period”? Unless you have had a miscarriage or a loss you cannot even imagine what it does to you. I am so scared this is going to happen to me every month, but if it does, it does. I am learning that during that time I am going to just have to deal with it the way I want to deal with it.

My family is really there for me. My mom was helpful, she knew I did not want to be bothered...

Is there really Facebook Etiquette?

facebook

Is there such thing as Facebook etiquette? I ask this because on my page I post a lot of articles on my page that I like and that I believe in. Of course not everyone is going to like what I post, I do not expect them to, but I post what I like and what interests me. I do know there are people on my list that also like some of the things I post, and I am sure people read them. Again, I am pretty sure half of my “friends” have my posts blocked anyway, but that is another story. (HA)

Yesterday I posted about an issue that is dear to me (I am not even going to go into detail) but I was told in an ignorant way, that I should “leave it off Facebook and post about it in your blog”...

I just want to be normal again.

images

It is coming up on 2 months that we had our miscarriage. I was around 6 weeks pregnant and to make a long story short, there was never a heartbeat. I am grateful that it happened early on, I could not imagine how others deal with this type of pain later on in the pregnancy. I do know this much, no matter how far knowing that little life didn’t make it hurts just as bad no matter how early it happens.

I do not know how to cope. I have tried cooking and recipes, which work for a little bit but you only can cook and make so much then go back to thinking and dealing with reality. So then I added crafts to the mix. That helps to…I am even going to sew (yes me sew) pillows for my living room...

Update to 3/23′s “Forget You” Friday.

062408nosyneighbor01

If you follow me on my personal facebook page you know that my neighbor(s) from “Forget You” Friday have not stopped their watching our house. As promised, I will update!

This morning Xavier and I needed to get the mail, we have a post office so have to walk a few blocks to our post office. Of course Rico came with us. It was a nice walk and on the way back I see my landlord coming out of the church with a plain looking blonde older lady. It hit me “that has to be her”. I could tell it was a planned meeting, she must of seen me leave and knew that I was going to be on the way back and they waited. You might say “Nikki, you are over looking into the situation” but it was honestly one of those situations that you just knew how it was planned...

30 minutes a day to a clean house! (NO DOWNLOAD)

cleaning

I have been doing a schedule I have found online to have a spotless house all the time. I tried it and have been “revamping” it to fit my lifestyle and my schedule. It has been working so good for me, I have made my own schedule to where I only have to spend 30-45 minutes a day of actual cleaning. I do not count doing dishes or laundry, because those are the 2 things you cannot get away from and never can get behind on. Those are a given that any stay at home parent (or working parent) has to keep up on and basically the washer has to be always running. The good thing is, getting on a strict and easy cleaning schedule will make laundry something to do during the day because you will not have anything else to do because your house will be clean...

3 Cheese Chicken Alfredo Bake Review

My boys were very happy that I tried a new recipe tonight. It felt good to make a nice Sunday dinner. I went online to my “Dinners I want to try” board on Pinterest. I had everything in the house for “3 Cheese Chicken Alfredo Bake” by Plain Chicken. Please go to Plain Chicken for this recipe. Oh yea, I added Broccoli, you can never go wrong with adding broccoli to a cheesy Alfredo pasta, right?!

Cheesy Alfredo bake!

Is it hard to make? Is anything hard to make that I attempt? (lol) No, this recipe is simple. You just brown the chicken, boil the noodles and add all the ingredients into the pan and bake for 30 minutes! Easy!

Is it expensive? Nope, I would say you can get everything for around $10. Again, I even through in the frozen broccoli that I defrosted and added.

Did it go over well?...

“Forget You” Friday!

I always have someone or something I need to complain about by the end of the week, I thought “Forget You” Friday would help me clear my head for the weekend…and anyone can join in and vent about someone that tried to ruin their week…..lets get it out so they can not mess up our weekend!

We are renters. We moved into our house this passed August. We have been here almost a year and living in a little town coming from the city has been a hard enough change….let alone having this certain person breathing down our backs.

The first week we got the keys to our new place we stayed here sleeping on the floors so during the day I could clean very good and prepare for our big move in that weekend with all our stuff...

Cookie Dough Dip Review

Cookie Dough Dip

My son saw a picture of this recipe around the time of his birthday. He thought it was real cookie dough until I explained to him what it was, and he insisted he needed this dip at his 4th birthday party also. I didn’t argue because it was an excuse to try it out…I have to admit, I usually do not eat stuff like that, but it looked so good I needed a taste.

Pinterest has a million different takes on this, but I used the recipe from “Add a Pinch.com’s blog“. I liked this recipe because it called for one ingredient that sounded like it would tie everything together better than the other ones that I read. If you want the recipe, please visit the Add a Pinch web site….!

Is it hard to make? If you call adding 7 items in a mixer and serving hard….then it is….other wise…SIMPLE!

Is it expensive? ...

Cake Batter Dip Review

Cake Batter Dip

Cake Batter Dip sounded interesting and as soon as my son saw this on Pinterest (yes my 4 year old sits there with me as I browse) he had to have it for his 4th birthday party. I used the recipe from “The Spiffy Cookie Blog” and it was really easy. Please, if you want the recipe visit “The Spiffy Cookie” by clicking on the link….!

Is it hard to make? Nope. Consists of 3 cheap ingredients (4 if you count the sprinkles you put on the top to make it extra cute)

Is it expensive? Nope. Under $5.00 if you check out your ads and maybe even have some coupons.

Did it go over well? I think I gave out the recipe to 3 people if I remember correctly…it could of been more…! I would say giving out the recipe at least once means it went over well.

Would you make this again? YES…it is cheap and simple...
